In this audio story, Finding my place in this space, you will hear a story based on conversations between a service user, here called Aino, and researchers from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Heli and Leigh Anne. The story gives an insider’s view on the challenges of urbanization and gentrification in Kallio, Finland and how they affect Aino’s ability create a sense of connection and wellbeing. It invites you to become familiar with the concepts of place and placemaking as well as a deeper understanding of how places and peoples’ connections matter in social work.
