In this audiostory, Finding connection in disconnection, you will hear a story based on conversations between an integrated refugee, here called Farid, and researchers from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Leigh Anne and Tiina. The story gives an insider’s view on the long process of integration in terms of finding belonging and connection in a foreign environment. It invites you to become sensitized to the concepts of place and place identity in order to gain a deeper understanding of how physical spaces, one’s sense of place and their connection to that place matter in social work.
